This weekend the car was due to roll over 7500 miles and per the factory specifications, the rear differential fluid must be changed. I picked up 2 quarts of Royal purple Synthetic Gear oil of the 75W90 variety. I drained old fluid, cleaned off the magnet, pumped new fluid in, applied teflon tape on the threads and back together it goes. I was planning on changing the front fluid as well, however the pump pictured did not work well and i will wait until i have a better transfer pump. Hopefully by changing the fluid i can gain a couple points of mpg!
